THE ITINERARY

You don’t have to think about a thing! Every detail is meticulously planned for you!

All you need to do is….SHOW UP….BE PRESENT…..and ENJOY!!!

Weaving in the perfect blend of yoga, meditation, beach time, nature and free time for self- exploration and
bonding with new friends.

UPON ARRIVAL… 

You arrive at Tongsala Pier on Koh Phangan to be taken to your resort and greeted by Nancy and your new friends who have already arrived, enjoy your welcome drink and take in the first impression of the tropical island life, your home for the next 5 days.

Once you finished your refresher, you will have time to unpack, explore your home, and dip your feet in the ocean or jump for a swim in the pool. In the evening, we will meet up with the group for the opening circle and our first group dinner!

The Venue

YOUR COMFORT IS IMPORTANT TO US…

You’ll have a private, double bedroom bungalow with terrace or balcony, providing a marvelous ocean and garden view.

The charming, warmhearted Thai style resort with refreshing swimming pool is nestled within the tropical gardens of Koh Phangan.

Woktum Bay from the main town Tongsala or Srithanu village, which is well-known for creativity, yoga, meditation and spirituality.

All bungalows are well-appointed with a private safety deposit box, individual air-conditioning & fan with remote control, mini-bar & refrigerator, hairdryer, hot shower, Wifi ,coffee & tea facilities and a flat-screen TV with DVD player. You will have access to the private beach and pool just in front of your door step.

YOGA WITH NANCY

Kick off the day right with presence, bringing in balance into your day.

Nancy’s calm voice takes you on a journey of inner peace, connection to your true self and awareness of your breath. Her teaching is from the heart and brings you to your sacred place, inner calm, so that you don’t have to look anywhere else. Nancy’s strong focus is on the right alignment of the posture.

Practicing Yoga with awareness of proper alignment is intrinsically linked with better coordination, balance, stability and prevention of strain or injury. When we are comfortable in our Yoga asana, we can look inside, no effort is needed and we can go deep.

If you are a beginner – no worries! Classes are catered to beginners and teachers alike, from gentle to yin to power!

I am Nancy, Wholistic Coach, Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, and Ayurvedic practitioner.

My work is rooted in empowering and guiding people to live a passionate life aligned with their authentic self, embodying a balanced body, mind, and soul with the Universe.

My story begins in Hamburg, Germany where I began my career in the corporate business world. After years of overwhelming stress and unhappiness, I eventually hit my breaking point (sound familiar?) and surrendered to the ever-growing call to travel the world. In taking this first step out of my comfort zone, I began the Trip of My Life, which brought me across all parts of Southeast Asia, Australia, India and two years later, back to the island I now call home, Koh Phangan in Thailand. Yes, it was my Eat, Pray, Love Moment; and I embraced it. (I will tell you more about it.)

In the last two years, I’ve designed the simple yet abundant life I always wanted to live, rooted first and foremost in Nature. She continues to gift me time and time again with her boundless grounding and healing potential. Based out of my sacred home in the majestic mountains of Chaloklum, I wake up with my dog Lily each and every morning to the sounds of jungle and vibrant smells of fresh fruit around me. My mornings are spent on my yoga mat offering affirmations of gratitude and intention for whatever present moment brings.

Wholistic Island Retreats is created from a deep desire to live a balanced life in harmony with the nature, aligned with the true authentic self.

Wholistic Island Retreats has come to fruition through the passion of my own yoga practice, my love for Koh Phangan , and my mission in empowering and guiding people to live a passionate life aligned with their authentic self, embodying a balanced body, mind, and soul with the Universe. TESTIMONIAL WHOLISTIC ISLAND RETREAT

Yes, Nancy I’m In!

TRAVEL INFO

The nearest airport is on Koh Samui. You will catch a connecting ferry from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan (Thong Sala Pier), which can be arranged at the information desk at Koh Samui Airport. From there, we will arrange pickup to and from the retreat center.

Another option is to fly to Surat Thani Airport. From there you have to take a bus to Donsak pier (1.5hr). The ferry to Koh Phangan runs frequently and will take you 2-2.5 hours. From there, we will arrange pickup to and from the retreat center.

To experience the full 5 days, you must arrive to Koh Phangan latest on the same day, when the retreats starts before 4pm .

Have never done yoga before?

No problem! The retreat is for all levels! Our retreats are not just yoga – normally yoga is taught once or twice per day depending on our itinerary and the excursions and meals are just as much a part of the theme of the week as the yoga. It is an immersion for all of the senses.

Never traveled abroad?

We’ve got you covered! We have traveled abroad and to Koh Phangan before many times and can give you the advice you need to arrive safely.

Never done this for yourself?

Just do it! There’s no time like now! It will be a life-defining week.

Traveling by yourself?

Perfect! That is the time now. You will meet incredible people at the retreat. Once you sign up we also connect you with our private Facebook page so that you get to get to know the group before the trip – so you could might find another friend to travel with if you’d rather travel with someone.

Can I bring my husband?

Our retreats are for men and women alike 🙂

What is the weather like in Koh Phangan in October?

It will be warm and sunny. It could rain sometimes.

What kind of clothes will I need for the trip?

The weather is warm, so pack light clothes, yoga and fitness outfit and comfortable shoes for some nature hiking and a light sweater for the evening.

What currency does Thailand use?

Thai Baht. The currency exchange rate does change frequently. Check here http://www.xe.com/ucc/

I would like to immerse myself in yoga and self-exploration while I'm there. Is there time for that?

YES! There will be time to reflect, do your own practice, journal, photography, sketching, whatever your creative outlet is. And remember all activities are optional and your choice.

Are private sessions and massage available?

YES and NO! You have one massage included in your package. If you want to book another one, we will book for you for an additional fee. I think with the two sessions a day you will be fulfilled otherwise you can talk to us and we will see how we could fit in a private Yoga or Natural Movement session for you.

Should I bring any yoga props with me (blocks, strap)?

You can bring everything you need to practice yoga. We will have mats but you are welcome to bring your own.
