NATURAL STATE OF BEING RETREAT
16th – 23rd March 2019
31st August – 7th September 2019
„You must find the place inside yourself, where nothing is impossible“
~ Deepak Chopra~
We invite you to come immerse yourself in the art of living wholistically in mind, body and spirit with NATURAL STATE OF BEING RETREAT! By Wholistic, we mean that which is whole, balanced and therefore, complete.
The heart and soul of this retreat is rooted in the ancient sister systems of Ayurveda and Yoga (combination of Hatha, Vinyasa and Yin), two practices that have personally transformed my relationship to a balanced healthy life and guided me on the path I’m on today. While the wisdom and life practice of Ayurveda dates back 5000 years old, the art of modern wholistic living welcomes all curious seekers and travellers who wish to expand and live life more fully, balanced and connected!
But don’t just take my word for it, I invite you to try it for yourself. In fact, if you’re still reading this, you’ve actually already planted the seed.
Imagine yourself when you’ve arrived on the magical island of Koh Phangan, Thailand — a luscious island teeming with nature’s abundant tropical breeze, rolling mountains, sparkling blue ocean waves and crunchy crystal quartz.
For 8 days, you gather with like-minded travellers to convene as a small community in conscious curiosity and practice of healthy and joyful living in the ever-flowing oneness with mother nature herself.
With each day that passes, you unplug from the daily stresses of life and expand your mind and body with the gifts of the ancient Vedas. You commit to channeling your inner voice through meditations and yoga asanas designed for your healing journey, and eat only the highest quality, locally sourced and seasonally prepared Ayurvedic vegetarian meals that leave your mind and body feeling energized, clear and fully authentic.
We will also practice one day conscious fasting according to your body type- kitchari, coconut water or juice fasting. Fasting has numerous healthy benefits and gives clarity and a great energy boost to body, mind & soul.
We have limited this retreat size to 14 participants by design, to create an intimate and safe space for all to receive the quality of attention, care and space for an optimal wholistic experience.
In this unique and joyful time together, NATURAL STATE OF BEING Retreat will cultivate an experience that balances:
:: community sharing with individual reflection time ::
:: depth of knowledge with ease of relaxation ::
:: mind-body activities with stillness ::
:: nutritious food with conscious fasting (just one day!) ::
:: learning with practicing ::
:: inner joy with outer joy ::

Why Koh Phangan ?
The island of Koh Phangan will no doubt swallow you whole with her tropical beauty and abundance. A large part of the island is undeveloped and maintains the glow of an untouched natural Thai oasis. It still has the secluded island feel with only three main roads, no airport, and rarely any car traffic. You are away from world’s hustle and bustle, pollution and overall stresses of everyday western life. But, worry not. We are still well connected to the outside world through reliable ferries and the nearby airport on Koh Samui, the neighboring island. And of course, there’s the mainland not too far away.
We are committed to your comfort and experience end to end, including your retreat home for the 8 days we’ll be gathered together. Phangan Beach Villa is located directly on the beach with a unique touch of luxury, overlooking a stunning ocean view, sunsets and farther out, the neighbor island Koh Tao.
All apartments have kitchen, fridge and cooking equiment.
Take a morning swim in one of the biggest infinity pools of the island or just go down to the little unique and very private beach and enjoy the nature around you.
Some of the best restaurants and convenience stores are just a few minutes drive to the fisherman village Chaloklum with a beautiful traditional Thai community.
Our wish is to make you feel at home with family for the 8 days we’ll be together!
Meals made by Love

Your Retreat Leader
I am Nancy, a Wholistic Coach, Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, and Ayurvedic practitioner.
My work is rooted in empowering and guiding people to live a passionate life aligned with their authentic self, embodying a balanced body, mind, and soul with the Universe.
My story begins in Hamburg, Germany where I began my career in the corporate business world. After years of overwhelming stress and unhappiness, I eventually hit my breaking point (sound familiar?) and surrendered to the ever-growing call to travel the world. In taking this first step out of my comfort zone, I began the Trip of My Life, which brought me across all parts of Southeast Asia, Australia, India and two years later, back to the island I now call home, Koh Phangan in Thailand. Yes, it was my Eat, Pray, Love Moment; and I embraced it.
In the last two years, I’ve designed the simple yet abundant life I always wanted to live, rooted first and foremost in Nature. She continues to gift me time and time again with her boundless grounding and healing potential. Based out of my sacred home in the majestic mountains of Chaloklum, I wake up with my dog Lily each and every morning to the sounds of jungle and vibrant smells of fresh fruit around me. My mornings are spent on my yoga mat offering affirmations of gratitude and intention for whatever present moment brings.
Wholistic Island Retreats is created from a deep desire to live a balanced life in harmony with nature, aligned with the true authentic self. Wholistic Island Retreats has come to fruition through the passion of my own yoga practice, my love for Koh Phangan, and my mission to empower and guide people to live a passionate life aligned with their authentic self, embodying a balanced body, mind, and soul with the nature. It is such an honor to create these life changing experiences for you and a privilege to guide you on this inner and outer adventure of a lifetime.
From my heart to yours, I invite you on a wholistic journey with us.
WE WILL TAKE YOU ON A WHOLISTIC AYURVEDA & YOGA JOURNEY
WHAT DOES WHOLISTIC MEANS?
Wholistic: that which is whole, balanced and therefore, complete. An essential word that lays the strong foundation for healthy and mindful living.
WHAT IS AYURVEDA?
The “science of life” or longevity, this holistic medicine system comes from India and has been around for more than 5000 years. It is believed to be the oldest healing science in existence, forming the foundation of others that came after. In this personalized health practice, the patient is empowered to become a student of their Dosha or mind-body type (there are three: Vata, Pitta and Kapha) and arrive at their own self-healing through guidance and knowledge of the optimal diet, exercise/yoga practice, supplements, herbal medicine, treatments, mantras and other lifestyle choices for that type.
It offers a body of wisdom designed to help people stay vibrant and healthy while realizing their full human potential.
WHAT IS YOGA?
This Sanskrit word means “union” and was created to activate the mind-body connection. Like Ayurveda, the ancient practice of Yoga is a whole system and way of being in the world. The experience of Yoga brings ever greater alignment to one’s ability to be present and fully alive in every moment, a dynamic meditation in its own way. By bringing more attention to our daily life, we are quite literally training the muscle of the mind to expand and channel inner flow, gratitude and overall happiness.
The nearest airport is on Koh Samui. You will catch a connecting ferry from Koh Samui to Koh Phangan (Thong Sala Pier), which can be arranged at the information desk at Koh Samui Airport. From there, we will arrange pickup to and from the retreat center.
Another option is to fly to Surat Thani Airport. From there you have to take a bus to Donsak pier (1.5hr). The ferry to Koh Phangan runs frequently and will take you 2-2.5 hours. From there, we will arrange pickup to and from the retreat center.
To experience the full 8 days, you must arrive to Koh Phangan on (16. March 2019) before 4pm.
If you want to come earlier or stay later for additional exploration, contact Nancy for support. She can help you design something fabulous for whatever feeds your curiosity and soul (as this has become a trend for many travellers, wanderlusters and expats who have fallen in love with the island). Feel free to ring her at +66 61200710. (whatsapp available)
